Looking for your next student home? Here's what to ask!

It's almost that time of year again, here are some of the top questions to ask when viewing student homes:

1. What will each of us pay? Check the details! Get a break down of the individual payments for your rent, utilities (if applicable), holding deposit payment and deposit.

2. What type of Tenancy is it? All our tenancies are now periodic but check whether they are on a joint or individual basis and the Guarantor requirements.

3. What's included? The in person viewing is the best point to confirm furnishings, parking, appliances and any extras.

4. How are repairs and maintenance handled? We have a market leading reporting software and an out of hours contact number, but please ask about response times and what is the expectation between landlord vs the tenant responsibilities.

5. Most importantly - there are NO SILLY QUESTIONS! For most student tenants, this is the first time going through the process so we prefer people to ask more rather than less to make sure they are informed and happy with the home that they are choosing.
