December 2020: Fraser Grant Review
Reflecting on the past 12 months is no mean feat; we're going to be processing 2020 for a long time to come but we've tried to sum our experience as best we can.
From the first Lockdown, to the local Lockdown in September to Lockdown 2.0 and straight into Tier 3 - we've had to adapt our business model and processes in order to safely meet the needs of both our tenants and clients.
A fairly quiet Spring gave way to the student changeover period which was challenging at times, (in reality it's always a stressful time but under pandemic conditions even more so), but we managed to get everyone moved out and in as we would in any 'normal' year. Special thanks to all our staff and contractors who made this happen so seamlessly.
Moving in to the latter months of 2020 our decision to opt for virtual tours for our student lettings allowed us to prioritse the safety of our current tenants, staff and any prospective tenants; while we look forward to a bit more 'business-as-usual' next Winter, we're pleased that this method has worked so successfully with more properties pre-let this year than this time last year.
A note to thank all of our tenants old and new for their patience and understanding over the past few months; our contractors for continuing to maintain any reported issues and our staff for their hard work during this testing time.
Most importantly, a massive thanks to the real heroes of the past 12 months, the key-workers - we wish everyone a safe and restful festive period and all the best for 2021.
