Newcastle & Jesmond Student Homes and Houses

Homer Simpson may be considered a fool but we can learn much from his many sayings.

Oh, so they have internet on computers now!
When looking for a student accommodation in Newcastle there’s a large area to cover if you’re going around on food to hunt down your next place to let. Even popping from letting agent to letting agent can take you a fair while. And that’s where the internet comes in. From the comfort of your home with a cup of tea to keep you company you can breeze through many properties, including on our site right here.

I think Smithers picked me because of my motivational skills. Everyone says they have to work a lot harder when I’m around.
When moving into student accommodation with friends if not handled properly then everyone can currently turn into enemies and it doesn’t end well. One of the main ways to keep things going smoothly is for everyone to pull their own weight in the home. Make sure to delegate out tasks such as cleaning the dishes and rooms, buying in communal supplies like toilet roll, and that bills are paid equally.

Homer: Hmm… ow, pointy! Eww, slimy. Oh, moving! Ah-ha! Oh, twenty dollars…I wanted a peanut!
Homer’s Brain: Twenty dollars can buy many peanuts!
Homer: Explain how.
Homer’s Brain: Money can be exchanged for goods and services.
Keep a close eye on your expenses. One benefit of student life is knowing ahead of time your income through student loans, so it should be much easier to plan ahead of time what needs paying through rent and utility bills to then know what you’ve got left to last you term-to-term for food and school supplies as well as leisure money on the side. No student enjoys it when having to spend the last couple of weeks before the student loan comes in scraping by with barely a few coins to rub together.

Lisa: Do you have any fruit?
Homer: [offers a doughnut] This has purple stuff inside. Purple is a fruit.
Make sure to eat well. Being a student you might find yourself struggling for time to properly cook and eat a meal in-between lectures and student nights out but getting in a good solid meal is well worth the effort. You’ll be in better general shape, not full of sugary snacks, and likely to be energized for the day ahead instead of constant highs and crashes from energy drinks. Additionally the ability to cook several meals is simple to pick up and certain to impress housemates and friends.
